CCT Constructors Corporation Marks 50 Years of Building Trust, Partnerships, and Progress

CCT Constructors Corporation marked its 50th anniversary on July 10 at Dusit Thani Manila, bringing together clients, business partners, guests from the Philippines and Japan, and employees to celebrate five decades of trust, partnership, and progress under the theme “Rooted in Excellence, Rising with Purpose.”

The journey since 1976

Founded as a Japanese-Filipino joint venture in 1976, CCT has grown into one of the Philippines’ longest-running Japanese general contractors.

From its beginnings in marine and civil engineering, the company expanded into industrial, commercial, and infrastructure construction, earning clients’ trust through disciplined engineering, dependable project delivery, and long-term partnerships.

Honoring a legacy of trust

Welcoming the guests, CCT’s Vice President Alain Salvador reminded everyone that the occasion belonged not only to the company, but to everyone who had contributed to its success

“Tonight is not just a celebration of time—it is a celebration of partnership. A partnership that carried us through five decades. A partnership built on trust, strengthened by collaboration, and guided by a shared vision of excellence, resilience, and nation-building,” he said.

His message set the tone for the evening, emphasizing that CCT’s achievements have been made possible by the enduring trust of its clients and partners, a message reinforced throughout the evening as the company reflected on its history and continued contributions to the Philippine construction industry.

Looking Ahead

CCT’s President, Kaname Futaki, echoed this message, reaffirming that despite CCT’s growth, its foremost responsibility has remained unchanged.

“While much has changed over the years, our most important responsibility has remained the same – to earn the trust of our customers,” he shared.

Futaki added that CCT aspires to become the No. 1 General Contractor in the Philippines, emphasizing that leadership is measured not by size or revenue, but by customer trust, employee development, and meaningful contributions to society.

Celebrating shared milestones

One of the evening’s symbolic moments was the Kagami Biraki ceremony, a traditional Japanese ritual representing harmony, prosperity, and new beginnings. The ceremony reflected the enduring friendship between Japan and the Philippines that has been part of CCT’s journey since its founding.

Following the ceremony, Mr. Hiromi Hirata of Toyo Construction Co., Ltd. offered a toast congratulating CCT on its 50th anniversary, recognizing CCT’s commitment to contributing to the nation, serving its clients, and supporting its employees as he led the guests in a celebratory Kanpai.

The celebration also paid tribute to the people who have helped shape that journey. Eight employees with more than 30 years of service were honored through a Loyalty Awarding Ceremony, recognizing their dedication and invaluable contributions to CCT’s continued growth.

The company’s long-standing relationships with its clients and partners were likewise highlighted through a Testimonials AVP, featuring reflections from those who have worked alongside CCT throughout its journey. The evening also showcased a performance by El Gamma Penumbra, which brought elements of CCT’s 50-year story and its Japanese-Filipino partnership to the celebration.

Carrying the legacy forward

Closing the celebration, CCT Chairman Hiroki Nakazawa thanked everyone whose continued confidence has enabled CCT to reach this milestone.

“Your continued trust has been the foundation of every structure we have built, every challenge we have overcome, and every milestone we celebrate,” he said.

Nakazawa also recognized Toyo Construction Co., Ltd.’s long-standing role in strengthening the ties between Japan and the Philippines and acknowledged CCT’s new chapter as part of the Taisei Corporation Group, positioning the company for continued innovation and long-term growth.

Marking 50 years was not only an opportunity to reflect on CCT’s journey, but it was also a celebration of the people who made that journey possible. Guided by the trust it has earned over the past five decades, the company looks ahead with the same commitment to serving its clients and partners in the years to come.
